The Basic (old) petal is a common petal in florr.io and the first petal you get, as you spawn with them. It is the most basic of the petals (despite having another petals that have basic mechanics), as its name reveals.

Appearance

This petal is a white round petal with a light grey outline. The simplest petal look, it has only circles and outlines with little detail.

Respawn Time: 2.5 seconds

A player always spawns with 5 Basics when they start the game. They can also have 5 Basics if they died with up to 3 petals collected. The player can have more than 5 Basics if they respawn over level 15 without collecting any petals, because Basics will fill a player's load out if they don't respawn with any other petals. Then, the Basic will use the extra slot. The Basic (Unique) petal has a very low chance of replacing a normal basic petal when you spawn.

No Mobs can drop this, instead, all newly-spawned players begin with 5 Basic petals on their loadout. The only way to get more than five petals will be mentioned below.

Obtaining

It's somewhat hard to obtain:

• You start with 5. You cannot gain anymore, only remove them from your inventory or store those which you spawned with.
• The Special Basic Obtaining is the only way to get more basics, and it's super hard. Otherwise, only 5 stay.

Strategies

Using

Advantages

• The petal isn't a terrible petal and since you spawn with them, they are extremely easy to get. They do decent damage for easy zone and are efficient enough at farming mobs to get better petals.
• Sometimes this is better to use than Heavies, doing more damage (assuming you have 5 Basics) and having short reload, being possible even to kill a player (assuming that the enemy has 3 / 4 /5 Heavies)

Disadvantages

• The Basic is worse than petals like Rose, Fast, Heavy, Twin, Leaf and Stinger which are all easy to get and have more damage / a special ability.
• Many people use other good petals instead of Basic, so if you have 3 or more Basics, you're possibly dead.

Extra

• The Special Basic Obtaining technique allows you to appear superior to other florrs as it is difficult to get, but it is essentially worthless.

Against

• Any other petal, except for Corn, can beat Basic in a fight.
• People with More than 5 Basics are just showing this glitch and you should kill them without any problems.

Trivia

• This petal, its unique version and the Pollen are the only petals that are not dropped by any mobs.
  • Unlike its unique version and Pollen, it is the only petal that cannot be dropped by anything.
• The Basic petal is the only petal that gives 0 XP when trashed.
• If the player respawns with level 15 or higher without obtaining any other petals before dying, they will start out with more than 5 Basic petals. This is known as a Special Basic Obtaining.
