The Dandelion is a rare petal in florr.io that was added on February 11, 2020. It shoots like a missile and prevents players from healing.
Appearance[]
Looks like a basic petal, but a black stick out of one side. This black part goes straight out ending in a semi circle. The black part always faces toward the flower when orbiting and face the opposite way the petal is moving when fired.
Function[]
Damage: 5 HP
Durability: 10 HP
Respawn time: 2 sec
Special: If it hits a flower, they will be unable to heal for ten seconds. Shoots out like a missile upon attacking, moving in the same direction until either fading out or hitting something. Upon being hit, the flower will turn pale yellow/almost white and frown for ten seconds regardless of whether or not it's defending.
Drops[]
Percentage[]
Mobs | Drop Chance (In %) | Fraction (General) | Fraction with 1 as numerator | Decimal |
---|---|---|---|---|
Hornet | 14% | (14/100) | (1/7.14285) | 0.14 |
Obtaining[]
They come in variety:
- Farm hornets for the dandelion since there is no other mob. Be careful while doing so since it's dangerous and can, in fact, kill you.
- It is advised not to fight others with a dandelion since they can prevent you from healing and supposedly kill you about as quick as a hornet can.
Strategy[]
Using[]
- Dandelion is best paired with petals that can cause poison damage, especially Iris. Dandelion's ability to prevent healing, combined with poison damage, can potentially stress an enemy flower and reduce large amount of health.
- Dandelion is meant to be a support petal and does not do much damage on its own, thus, players should equip other petals that help to deal adequate damage.
- Dandelion can also be paired with Stinger, as the massive damage can't be healed instantly.
- This petal is the best counter to players using the Medical Kit build. Even so, it is very devastating to any player using roses or leaves since all healing petals stop healing for 10 seconds.
- It is not suggested to be used with any amount of Faster petals as this will make aiming much harder (though the trade-off to this is being able to shoot the petal with less cooldown between clicking and actually shooting the petal).
Against[]
- Since this is one-hit, weak petals are especially a good counter to this petal due to the quick reload.
- Don't underestimate this petal, it is very dangerous when it is in reach of being hit.
- Try to predict where the dandelion will go, moving in a straight line being chased by a skilled dandelion user is very dangerous as it makes landing the dandelion much easier. Try to move from side to side to decrease the chances of getting hit.

Trivia[]
- The dandelion used to be an epic petal before being changed to a rare petal in the February 18, 2020 update. Back then, it was a 0.1% chance to drop from hornets.
- This is one of three aiming petals to give an effect when hit, the others being Peas (Epic) and Peas (Legendary).
- The petal, Missile, Web, its legendary, and the peas (Rare, Epic and Legendary) are the only aiming petals in the game.
- It looks similar to a white and black basic tank from diep.io, created by the same creator. However has a rounded handle instead of a rectangle one.
