Honey is a rare petal in florr.io added on March 4, 2020. When the petal touches a flower, it slows their movement speed and petal speed.

Appearance

A yellow hexagon with a dark yellow outline. Resembles a honeycomb but without any internal lines.

Function

Damage: 10 HP

Durability: 10 HP

Respawn time: 1.7 sec

Special: Slows the movement speed of anything it hits by 20%. It also slows petal rotation speed by 20% if it hits a flower. Last for 5 seconds. Effect stacks with other Honey petals. The slowing effect is not as powerful as the Web. Flowers hit by this petal will frown regardless of whether or not they are defending.

Obtaining

They come in variety:

• It's pretty obvious, although you can get lucky from a bee. Still, it's pretty much kill hornets any one way or another. Bees, again, can make you sticky.
• Twin-based deathwheels and tanky builds can defeat players who have this petal if they make sure to destroy the honey petal. Quick rippers and other stinger-based builds can also defeat people using this petal by killing their opponent before they get slowed down too much.

Strategy

Using

• This petal is strong against players but weak against mobs. Against players, it will slow them down, meaning that fleeing won't be an option for them (unless they have a bubble). Their petals also get slowed down, so you won't take damage as quickly. This can be very useful against petal spammers, who rely on their storm of petals to deal damage.
• The petal slightly slows down mobs and has a fast recharge time, but only deals a low amount of damage, so it's not the worst against mobs but it won't deal much damage.
• Honey will basically revert the effects of a Faster petal essentially rendering all faster petals on an opponent useless (basically turns them into Fast)
• This can be useful against florrs with attack petals focused on one side, honey can slow down the rotation so you can easily dodge the attack petals.

Against

• Faster petals can counter this, but will be slowed when hit.
• This has about the same stats as the Basic, so similar strategies apply.
• Honey is useless when using a build with two Yin-Yangs, as your petals don't spin anyway.
