The Peas (Epic) is an epic petal in florr.io that was added on February 5, 2020. It shoots four poisonous peas out in different directions.

Appearance[]

Similar to peas, but the balls are light purple with a dark purple outline, each similar to an iris.

Function[]

Damage: 8 HP (per pea) and 10 HP (poison damage at a rate of 9 HP per second)

Durability: 20 HP

Respawn time: 1.4 sec

Special: Combines the effects of the Iris and Peas into one petal (although the poison damage is much less than an iris). Upon attacking, shoots out in four different directions at 90 degree angles from each other.

Each pea deals poison damage for a little over a second if it makes contact with a mob or flower, making each petal weaker than an iris. Flowers or mobs are also poisoned if they hit the petal before it's shot. Poisoned flowers turn them purple and frown regardless of whether or not they are defending.

Drops[]

Percentage[]

Mobs and their drop rates
Mobs Drop Chance (In %) Fraction (General) Fraction with 1 as numerator Decimal
Evil Centipede 1% (1/100) Same as Said 0.01
Centipede 0.05% (1/2000) Same as Said 0.0005

Obtaining[]

It's really good, but hard to get:

  • You can farm evil centipedes for this, but it's not so much of a good chance of dropping this. It's luckier to farm a massive evil centipede since they have so many segments.
  • Several months after this petal's introduction to the game, epic peas can also be dropped from normal centipedes. Having plenty of access to ??? makes farming these not a problem.
  • Players having these may not have great builds, unless those builds are Pea-Shooters. This is more effective since farming centipedes takes a really long time.

Strategy[]

Using[]

  • Excels at crowd control, especially if you have multiple. They are able to poison enemies in multiple directions, which is usually enough to keep flowers away.
  • This is also good for farming since it deals decent damage all around it. Be careful not to over fire though, you may provoke a lot of mobs.
  • 5-7 epic peas does well in the ? zone, being able to poison anything that gets near you. If you get a Peas (Legendary), replace one with it.

Against[]

  • This petal is weak to a strong assault from a single direction. A flower with a lot of roses will laugh at the weak damage you deal to them. They will be able to go right up to you and kill you. Therefore, it's important to have close-range petals too, preferably Triplets, Wings, or Pollens, which can be pulled out in a pinch.
  • Peas work decently well against hornets but are not good against mobs like spiders which can ram you before being killed by poison. If not used carefully, this will aggravate a lot of mobs.

Trivia[]

  • They are commonly referred to as "Poison Peas," "Purple Peas," or "Grapes" due to their color and effect.
  • This is the second most powerful peas, with first being Peas (Legendary).
  • As of the Nov 1st 2020 legendary peas update, they also drop from normal centipedes.
